“ Chanos has been a staple to the 75208 community. While many other restaurants have come (and gone) along over the last 30 years it's the consistency of the food that keeps us coming back. 38 years ago it was walk in order and go and after they built the restaurant at the corner it is the same faces delivering the same exceptional quality. Now for myself and my family being from Jalisco it has been the flavors that we are accustomed to, but I have watched all the converts to the jalisciense style of food continue to keep coming back. ”
“ Never ever have Ii stopped here, and we decided to have dinner today. I just got 3 carne asada tacos. And the Mr had 1 taco de tripa, 2 tacos de pollo. It was actually daam good. The service was nice and welcoming. The food temperature was perfect. Seasoning was all there. Salsa was not too hot or too mild and had a nice flavor. I will have to try the menudo since it looks like they serve it daily, not just weekends. ”

“ Love their burritos! We go here regularly, even since before this new bldg they're at now. If you like nasty Chipotle burritos, these are so, so much better. ”
“ How does this place even get less than 5 stars?? Let me tell you about the burritos: First, they take a flour tortilla as big as a small rug. It's grilled on a "comal" until just crispy. Right then it's filled to the brim with your choice of meat, frijoles, and all kinds of other goodies. It's seriously enough for two people but I like to stuff myself to the brim. On the side, they serve this concoction of jalepenos and carrots that's been sitting in a bath of vinegar, onions, and garlic. By the time it's served, the carrots are hotter than the jalepenos! I've never tried anything else on the menu because the burritos are SO damn good! Don't miss this place! ”
